Demi Lovato 'buys house for family'

Demi Lovato has purchased a home for her family in Los Angeles.

The star - who recently celebrated her 18th birthday - admitted that the purchase allowed her to fulfil a longtime dream.

"I just bought a house. For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present," she told People.

"It's got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it. It's the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it."

Lovato said that she would also live in a cottage on the property, which features an in-ground pool.

"The pool has a water slide, which is really cool," she added.
