Cobain daughter guardianship ends

Courtney Love's daughter Frances Bean Cobain is no longer under the guardianship of her grandmother following her 18th birthday, TMZ reports.

Bean, who is the only child of Love and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was granted a guardianship order in April 2010. Parental control was transferred from Love to Bean's paternal grandmother after questions were raised about the Hole singer's ability to care for her daughter.

The guardianship officially expired when Bean turned 18 on Wednesday. Bean is now legally responsible for all of her affairs, including financial arrangements.

Love reached out to her daughter via Twitter earlier this week, asking her to return home.
