The Up In The Air star was in the city for the premiere of her new film Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.
According to Yahoo, she said: "I love it here. I had scones and clotted cream as soon as I got off the plane."
Kendrick added of being considered a geek: "I would be proud to call myself a geek, but I don't claim to know as much as hardcore geeks."
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, which also stars Michael Cera and Brandon Routh, is currently playing in US cinemas, and is released in the UK on Friday.
