Dieter Wiesner, a former advisor to Michael Jackson, is suing him for almost £40m.
BBC News Online says the action claims that Jackson interfered with Wiesner's merchandising efforts, and that he gave Jackson millions of dollars for name and likeness merchandising rights that were not Jackson's to sell.
Wiesner, who used to be Jackson's personal manager, was "abruptly" fired after only a year in the job, stating in his legal action: "Jackson never paid...[him]...for the countless hours he spent rescuing Jackson from the brink of financial disaster."
