Robbie Williams is to star in a pantomime in his home town of Stoke-on-Trent.
When the pop superstar heard his friend and fellow Stoke resident Jonathan Wilkes was taking part, he decided to get involved himself.
"I was talking about the pantomime at dinner and he said he wanted to be in it, as did Ant and Dec," said Wilkes.
Unfortunately, Williams will not be on stage in person. An insider told the Daily Mirror: "It is an extremely funny video clip which lasts a few minutes."
"Robbie's part is absolutely integral to the story and it's very, very funny," he continued, "He might put on a daft dress, he could be a dame or even pop up as a fairy. Whatever he does it will be worth watching."
Wilkes commented: "This is the first time you'll see Rob in panto. If that's not a reason to see it, I don't know what is."
"Robbie and I are both very proud of Stoke-on-Trent," added the TV star. "We'll try to give a great show this Christmas."
