In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ and filed in LA County Superior Court on Monday, the actor alleged that the advisors forged his signature on documents which later caused him to lose $10m (£6.4m) in "loans [he] did not need or want".
He also claimed that they had stolen multiple royalty checks from various film projects, including $600,000 (£387,634) for his part in Brokeback Mountain.
Quaid went on to accuse the advisors of working with City National Bank to use his earnings towards counterfeit real estate loans.
The suit did not state how much he will seek in damages but is said to imply 'astronomical' figures.
