Oliver named 'world's favourite TV cook'

Jamie Oliver is the ‘world’s favourite TV cook’, according to a new survey from BBC Food.
The 30-year-old chef beat well-known figures such as Ainsley Harriott, Nigella Lawson and Rick Stein to the title, which he said made him feel “honoured and humbled.???
Voting came from countries as disparate as Nigeria and Saudi Arabia where his Jamie’s Kitchen and Naked Chef programmes have been seen.
A BBC Food spokesperson said that Oliver’s appeal was “universal??? and that he had a “fresh, no-nonsense cooking style.???
A special winner’s night show will be broadcast on November 29 on BBC Food.
