According to TMZ, Seacrest wants King to produce and host a new syndicated radio programme as part of a media deal Seacrest is pitching to corporations.
The American idol host's contract with Clear Channel Communications ends in November, and it is thought that he is looking to create a "multi-media empire".
He has reportedly already spoken to the chief of DreamWorks Animation concerning his plans.
King announced in June that he was quitting his CNN show Larry King Live. The chatshow host got his start as a radio broadcaster in 1957.
