Lindsay Lohan has returned to Twitter for the first time since her release from jail and rehab.

The 24-year-old had not been allowed to tweet while serving her prison sentence or receiving court-ordered treatment at the UCLA Medical Centre.

However, the Mean Girls star - who left rehab on August 24 - returned to her account yesterday, writing: "Clearly.. Paparazzi shouldn't be allowed to take pictures or video while someone's driving or at a stop light. 4every1's sake. (sic)"

It marked her first tweet since she referenced her impending jail sentence on July 19, saying: "The only "bookings" that i'm familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i'd be "booking" into Jail... eeeks." She surrender herself to authorities the next day.

Lohan had been sentenced to 90 days behind bars and a 90-day stint at rehab in July after violating the terms of her probation relating to a 2007 charge. She was released from prison on August 2 after serving 13 days, and left rehab this week after 22 days.
