Mayer: 'I'm not back with Jennifer Aniston'

John Mayer has dismissed claims that he is back with his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.

The singer-songwriter posted a message on his blog about the rumours, which stem from his recent comments at a concert that 'he believes in second chances'.

"This is equal parts fabricated, cobbled together and misleading," Mayer wrote.

He added: "Let's break it down - I don't think I ever said, 'I believe in second chances!' but I can't be 100% sure, as it's possible I could have accidentally said something succinctly and to the point."

Mayer also explained that by referring to "second chances", he was actually talking about his song 'Half Of My Heart'.
