Usher: 'I don't regret my marriage'

Usher has insisted that he does not regret his marriage to ex-wife Tameka Foster.

Talking to People, the singer - who filed for divorce from Foster in June 2009 - said that the couple were incompatible, but there are no hard feelings between them.

"I appreciate the relationship for what it was," he explained.

"Even though it didn't work out, I'm glad we got together. I love her as the mother of my children; we just couldn't be married."

He added that the pair continue to work together in order to raise their two children despite their differences.

"We're two different people and we have two different goals. It just was never going to work out 100%," he said.

"We had to put our issues aside and focus on raising [our kids]. There will never be another mother for my sons, and I'll always be their father."
