Hilton 'insisting drugs weren't hers'

Paris Hilton is reportedly claiming that she didn't own the drugs that she was arrested for possessing in Las Vegas on Friday.

According to The Sun, the heiress is insisting that the bag in which cocaine was allegedly found wasn't hers because it wasn't a designer brand.

A source said: "This purse in question was a high street brand - and by no means up to her high fashion standards. Paris is hoping authorities will see sense and let her off the hook. This is a terrifying situation for Paris. She's scared stiff about what might happen.

"Her greatest fear is that authorities will make an example of her because she's famous. The idea of going back to prison sends a shiver down Paris's spine."

Another source suggested that Hilton would escape jail time, saying: "If Paris is convicted, she's most likely to get probation but nothing much more. If she violates that probation she could get anything between one and four years in jail."

Hilton is said to have hired a top Vegas lawyer to defend her.
