Paul Weller has put all rumours that he is gay to rest today in an interview.
Weller's became a gay icon after he softened the Jam's aggressive image in his 1980s pop act The Style Council. He admits that these were his sexually ambiguous years, saying: "I went through my 'confused sexuality' time in The Style Council" but he never went further than stroking his keyboardist's earlobes in a video.
Weller admits to being bemused by his popluarity among the gay community, but states that he is completely heterosexual. "The truth is, I don't really fancy blokes."
