Katy Perry 'bans football baby names'

Katy Perry has joked that she refuses to allow fiance Russell Brand to name their future children after West Ham football players.

The popstar told The Sun that Brand's love of the team will be confined to themed rooms around their future home.

"I've put my foot down and let him know under no circumstances are any of our kids going to be named after his favourite players," she explained.

"I was thinking maybe [we could have] a West Ham jersey in his office and a set of West Ham mugs in the kitchen."

She added: "I'll be too embarrassed to invite any neighbours around for drinks though - we'll be the only apartment to have a West Ham bathroom mat!"

Perry recently insisted that she is "too busy" to have children and is choosing to focus on her career at present.
