The Kate Plus 8 star was one of the celebrities who took part in Jimmy Fallon's opening segment, which poked fun at her recent stint on Dancing With The Stars.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the host said: "I'm a huge Kate Gosselin fan. She's so sweet and lovely. I was so happy to see her get some Emmy coverage."
She added: "I was so happy to see her and see her make fun of herself like that."
The opening monologue saw Fallon and the Glee cast recruiting new members for their glee club, including Tina Fey, but ultimately rejecting an eager Kate Gosselin who was dressed in one of her Dancing With The Stars costumes.
