A newly-knighted Terry Wogan has revealed that the Queen told him she listens to his breakfast show.
Sir Terry, who hosts Radio 2's morning show, told reporters afterwards: "Her Majesty said she had been listening to the programme. She is one of Terry's Old Geezers. Alhough anybody who had the nerve to call her that would be very, very foolish indeed."
He added: "I shall expect a lot more respects from the likes of you."
Meanwhile, former Queen guitarist Brian May has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to music.
