Cannon: 'Carey spiritual about pregnancy'

Nick Cannon has suggested that pregnancy is a "spiritual" experience to wife Mariah Carey.

The singer recently spoke out on rumours that she is expecting the couple's first child, refusing to confirm or deny reports as she is "superstitious" about childbearing.

"I think 'superstitious' might be the wrong word," the America's Got Talent host told US Weekly.

"I think it's more of a spiritual thing. Like trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can. She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can."

He added: "She'll talk when she's ready to talk."

Cannon recently said that Carey will be a great mother as she has a natural maternal instinct.
