A court will decide the fate of her dog Cadillac and whether or not she will be charged over the incident.
Michelle Roache, deputy director for the Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control Deputy Director, told E! News: "It's a pending criminal investigation. The attack is substantial. It's all up to the courts whether or not a person is going to lose the right to own the dog, or that the dog be euthanised, or that there's restrictions against the dog.
"They vary from sentences where the person can't own any dogs in the county of Los Angeles, to the court demanding the dog for euthanasia, or a lot of times they have to pay a fine. I haven't seen people jailed for an incident like this."
Cadillac has been sent to stay with Ronson's family as it is believed that he does not attack humans.
Roache continued: "We don't believe there was a bite to any person. If the dog has bitten a person it has to be quarantined for ten days and we don't allow the dog to leave the state.
"We have to determine what provoked it and what's going to be a good ending result for the dog. Most of these dogs are rehabilitatable."
Ronson has apoligised for her dog's attack.
