Arson ruled out in 'Gromit' fire

Fire investigators say that the fire that destroyed Aardman animations, home of Wallace and Gromit among others, was caused by faulty electronics.
They believe that a faulty water heater or CCTV system was to blame for the fire that destroyed over 30 years worth of props, scenery, models and awards. The two-month investigation found the fire had started accidentally in a ground-floor office.
"The cause of the fire was an electrical fault with an appliance. Arson has been ruled out," a spokesman for the Avon Fire and Rescue service said.
