Francesca Spero claims that she was fired by the mogul earlier this year because of her age, according to The AP.
The 51-year-old asserts that she met Combs in 1998 and worked for his company Bad Boy Entertainment for 12 years before being terminated in March.
The lawsuit states that Spero was sacked after having hip surgery and confiding to a Bad Boy executive that she had been treated for a "drug dependency relapse".
A publicist for the rapper replied: "There are many reasons why Ms Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not one of them."
