ICP: 'Tila Tequila wasn't wanted on stage'

Members of Insane Clown Posse have expressed confusion as to why Tila Tequila insisted on taking the stage at this year's Gathering of Juggalos.

The Shot At Love star was attacked by audience members at the Illinois event last month and suffered several cuts and bruises.

"The only reason she got hurt was that she stayed up on stage. It was obvious they didn't want her there, so why did she stay up there?" group member Violent J told MTV News.

"It was a shame, because all she had to do was get off the stage. Nobody said, 'You have to get on there and stay up there to get paid'. The way I understand it, they paid her before she got up there and they said, 'There's a rumour you're not wanted here, and you're free to take off if you like'."

He added: "She went up there and stayed up there anyway."

Violent J previously insisted that Tequila had been warned of a possible attack before going on stage.
