Marcia Cross 'inspired by Douglas cancer'

Marcia Cross has said that she finds Michael Douglas's positive outlook in the face of cancer to be inspiring.

The Wall Street actor was found to have a tumour on his neck earlier this month, but is expected to make a full recovery after chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Cross explained that Douglas's approach to his health problems has set a good example for her own husband Tom Mahoney, who was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year.

"I look at Michael Douglas, who is about to undergo the same thing and that makes me have great hope for him and know that he can make it," she said.

"It's a tough road, but it is beatable."

Regarding Mahoney's condition, Cross added: "He's great, he's 100% right now, he's fantastic."
