Daly goes on "date nights" with Kay

Tess Daly has revealed that she goes on "date nights" with her husband Vernon Kay.

Daly, who forgave Kay after he admitted to sending "racy" texts to a Page 3 model in February, said that they always find something to talk about when on a night out together.

Of the couple's "date nights", she said: "We'll get dressed up and go for a nice dinner but we're never one of these couples sat with nothing to say!"

The Strictly Come Dancing host also told Look magazine that it was the thought of their children - 5-year-old Phoebe and 1-year-old Amber - that kept the couple together in the wake of the texting scandal.

The 39-year-old said: "The girls will always be our priority. We both realised that our common goal was seeing our future together.

"Vernon and I met when we were young. He was 26 and I was his first proper girlfriend, so we've been through a lot of growing pains."
