Cheryl Cole 'to keep surname'

Cheryl Cole is to keep her ex-husband's surname, it has been claimed.

The 'Fight For This Love' singer, who finalised her divorce from Chelsea footballer Ashley on Friday, is said to view her current surname as integral to her continued success.

A friend told The Mirror: "She’s worked hard for that name. It has nothing to do with staying connected with Ashley. She’s built her career on it."

It was previously reported that the X Factor judge had been inspired to keep her surname by Tina Turner, who retained her married name after divorcing during her career.
