Stern stated that the satellite radio company wants him to sign a new deal, but that he is unwilling to commit to anything long-term at this time.
The self-proclaimed 'King Of All Media' added that he has no plans to retire and is instead interested in pursuing an online alternative to satellite radio.
There are four more months left on Stern's Sirius XM contract and he has vowed to promote the company until the end of the year.
"For four months, I'm a company man," he announced on his daily talkshow.
MSNBC reports that a decision on Stern's future will be announced before Sirius XM's third quarter earnings call in November.
