Jessica Simpson has filed for divorce from Nick Lachey, citing irreconcilable differences.
After their 2002 marriage, the celebrity couple's personal life went public in reality television show Newlyweds. Since then they have been subjects of intense media attention.
In November they announced they were splitting up.
