Pete Doherty has been arrested after being caught driving erratically.
The singer was stopped at around 8am in east London on Sunday. Police say Doherty had been driving erratically, and suspicious substances found in the vehicle have been sent off for analysis. He was later released on bail and told to report back in February.
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman further clarified the matter: "The vehicle was followed into Dudlington Road where the male occupant and three passengers apparently left the vehicle and made off on foot. Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs."
The Babyshambles lead singer has been in trouble with the police many times this year, most recently when driving in Ealing, west London, on 30 November. Police stopped his car and arrested him on suspicion of possessing class A drugs. At the time, the car was also said to have been driven in an "erratic manner." He was released on bail and told to report back to the station in January.
