DeGeneres in surprise Broadway appearance

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the TV chatshow host appeared on stage during a performance of Tony-winning musical Promises, Promises.
DeGeneres played a nurse during the show, which stars Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes. Her appearance in the play was not announced before the curtain was raised.
The comedienne will screen footage of her performance on the September 21 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
