GaGa claimed that Warhol - who famously painted cans of Campbell's Soup and multi-coloured images of Marilyn Monroe - is watching over her and offering the singer career advice from beyond the grave, according to The Sun.
A source said: "Her entire life has become dictated by these conversations. She is convinced he is controlling her from beyond the grave, guiding her life and career."
The 'Alejandro' singer is said to be converting her Los Angeles home into a shrine for the pop art icon, and is even throwing an extravagant Warhol-themed party this week.
"She has told the organisers that everything must be in the spirit of Warhol," added the source. "They were a little confused at first but are doing their best to satisfy her demands.
"Her house is insane. She has spent thousands turning it into a shrine to Warhol. I wouldn't be surprised if she started dressing head to toe in his clothes and changed her name to Andy."
GaGa has repeatedly cited the American artist as a major influence on her music.
