Speaking to Contact Music, Ricci said that she is looking forward to replacing Alicia Silverstone in Time Stands Still. However, she explained that she has been unnerved by how different stage acting is to making films.
She said: "I'm really scared but I'm really excited. I've done one week of rehearsals and we go to previews on 23 [September]. I have one more week before previews because I'm joining a cast that's already done it... I'm the only new guy.
"It's really intimidating and scary... It's really not like movies at all... I thought some basic things would be the same."
The 30-year-old said that she has relied on her castmates for guidance. "I showed up the first day and I was like, 'Listen, I have never done a play before, so really, like, idiotic things you think I should know, please tell me because I have no idea what's going on.'"
