Jon Voight has reportedly labelled Time magazine anti-Semitic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor slammed the publication while appearing as a guest on Fox News Channel series Huckabee.

Voight's comments were inspired by the September 13 edition of the magazine, which featured the cover line, "Why Israel Doesn't Care About Peace".

"This is anti-Semitism," he said. "Who are the anti-Semites who are running Time magazine?"

He also criticised its August 30 cover, which printed the question: "Is America Islamophobic?"

"They're calling America Islamophobic. Well, this is exactly the way that we create wars between nations," said Voight.

He added: "What are we going to do? Should we boycott Time magazine? Maybe so, because they shouldn't have the right to create wars."
