TMZ reports that Murray's latest court filings challenge Joe Jackson's decision not to name the singer's friend Dr Arnold Klein as one of those at fault for his son's death.
The new filings quote Joe's own lawsuit against Murray, which stated that concert promoters "AEG Live, LLC read Michael Jackson the proverbial 'riot act' to get him to stop subjecting himself to overmedication by Dr Arnold Klein".
Murray's attorneys proposed that Klein should be included as one of those being charged with partial responsibility in Michael's death.
His statement asserts: "The plaintiff [Joe Jackson] does not explain why, given these allegations, Dr Arnold Klein is not a required party to be added to accord proper relief."
Murray's legal team has also requested that Joe's wrongful death lawsuit against their client be dismissed because the 'Thriller' singer's father is not a beneficiary of Michael Jackson's estate.
