Elton's partnership certificate released

The civil partnership certificate of Elton John and David Furnish has been released.

The couple 'wed' in Windsor on the 22 December. The ceremony was small, but was followed by a huge reception attended by 700 people. Many celebrities came to the party, including Elizabeth Hurley, Sir Michael Caine, Sharon Stone and Donatella Versace.

The document shows that the couple's mothers were called as witnesses during the ceremony, which was restricted to family and very close friends. It also shows information about the couple's occupations (Sir Elton put down 'musician', Furnish 'film-maker') and Sir Elton's dissolved marriage from recording engineer Renate Blaul.
