Hoppus 'defends John Mayer Twitter end'

The 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' singer closed his page on the social networking site last week in order to concentrate on work for his new album.
"He just said it wasn't for him anymore," Hoppus told Pop Eater.
"He was really cool about it. He's like, 'You know, I don't dislike Twitter; I don't have anything bad to say against people who use it. It's just not for me right now at this point in my life'."
On his friendship with Mayer, Hoppus added: "John is an awesome guy. He's a friend from LA - really smart, really talented."
