The 'Bad Romance' singer will reportedly attend an event at the University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus on Monday to support the Servicemembers Legal Defence Network, according to The AP.
The group's spokesperson Trevor Thomas said that GaGa will stand alongside various veterans who were discharged from the service after admitting to superiors that they are gay.
The US military does not currently allow gays and lesbians to serve openly in the country's armed forces.
The popstar recently criticised senator John McCain for his refusal to support a bid to repeal the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy.
