Reid 'furious over Price footballer dates'

Alex Reid is reportedly furious that Katie Price has promised to go on a date with two Premiership footballers.

Manchester City's Micah Richards and Adam Johnson are believed to have paid £12,000 for the date as part of a fundraising auction at a recent charity event.

Price shouted, "Come on lads," as the bids increased, and later promised the pair a "night [they’ll] never forget", according to the Daily Star.

It is claimed that Reid, who believed that the date would be with a regular fan, later confronted Price, saying: "You've turned into the old Jordan again."

A source added: "Alex is livid about this one. He is a hot-blooded guy and the thought of his wife going out on a date with anyone is bad enough.

"But when he found out she will be going out with two footballers he hit the roof. He has gone crazy about this - it’s a good job Kate is in LA right now."

England midfielder Johnson - who paid £10,000 to Richards's £2,000 as part of the winning bid - is said to have had topless photos of Price on his bedroom wall as a teenager.

Sources also state that Reid is convinced Price's actions are designed to steal attention away from his cage fight with Tom Watson in Birmingham on Saturday.

"Alex is fed up with Kate's antics. Any time he has something important to focus on, it is like she is determined to spoil it," an insider added.
