Rooney leads 'Mum of the Year' shortlist

Coleen Rooney has been announced as a candidate for 'Celebrity Mum of the Year' following her handling of husband Wayne's alleged affairs.

The 24-year-old presenter, who recently reconciled with the England footballer, is one of 20 famous mothers shortlisted for the Bounty competition, which is in its tenth year.

According to Metro, Rooney had been nominated due to the strength she displayed throughout a "turbulent month" and her willingness to reunite her family "as [son] Kai approaches his first birthday".

Other mums in the running for the title include fellow WAGs Victoria Beckham and Danielle Lloyd, new parents Dannii Minogue and Samantha Cameron, and Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly, who similarly forgave husband Vernon Kay for sending racy messages to a Page 3 girl earlier this year.
