Police have urged supermodel Kate Moss to return to the UK to face questioning over cocaine allegations.
Moss is wanted to help with an investigation into footage taken of her and then-boyfriend Pete Doherty apparently snorting lines of cocaine in a West London recording studio by The Daily Mirror. However, when the investigation began three months ago Moss was already in the United States, having checked into a gruelling rehab course. She has now bought a Los Angeles apartment and is rumoured to be settling in America.
"We would like to appeal for her to return, see us, and tell us her side of the story," Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur told The Sun.
"We wish for the investigation to take its course, and she would be dealt with very fairly and proportionately, as would be the case with anybody else.
"The net on others involved is closing in, and there will be arrests. I hope she will see reason, it is not going away and I hope she decides to cooperate."
When Moss does return to London, Ghaffur says she will be arrested and interviewed "under caution," though it is widely believed that the supermodel will not be charged and instead given a warning.
