The 22-year-old was asked about his five-year romance with Hudgens during an appearance on ITV1's Daybreak this morning to promote new film Death And Life Of Charlie St Cloud.
"I'm dating Vanessa, it’s going amazing, it’s great, it’s better than ever. She wishes she was here, London’s her favourite place in the world," he told Kate Garraway.
"She’s super jealous right now and I should probably go call her and tell her that I landed and everything's good!"
Efron also spoke about his role in drama Charlie St Cloud, which revolves around a special relationship between two brothers, and revealed that he shares a close relationship with his own brother.
"It's like having a partner in crime your whole life, you know?" he said. "A built in friend. We shared bunkbeds our whole lives so it's safe to say we are very close."
He added: "When I read the script I was emotionally grabbed by it; the relationship between the brothers was very cool and something that I had some insight on."
Charlie St Cloud opened in the US this summer and hits cinemas in the UK on October 8.
