It seems a little wrong to split Pauline Quirke up from her long-term TV partner Linda Robson to receive this accolade. However, we're sure Linda's time will come, and we at DS have always had a special place in our heart for the one-time Sharon Theodopolopodous. Her nine-series, 102-episode stint on Birds Of A Feather is of course what cemented her Icon status, but she can always be counted on to pop up on our screens to make us smile.
Quirke won a key role in The Bill in 2005 and more recently led daytime crime drama Missing as DS Mary Jane 'MJ' Croft, before snaffling a regular role on Emmerdale. Her reality credentials are also impeccable, with a Celeb MasterChef appearance a few years ago and regular superfan guest spots on Strictly spinoff It Takes Two.
