Jake Shears: 'I get female groupies'

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has shared his disbelief about attracting many female groupies.

The openly gay 'Fire With Fire' singer revealed that his sexuality hasn't stopped girls throwing themselves at him while on tour with the band.

"Oh my god, I get more female groupies than I do male!" he told Q magazine. "In Japan the girls go apes**t for me. I don't know what's up but they love some Jake Shears. A lot of them don't speak English, so I'm not sure if that's what they want or not."

Shears added that he may never understand his sex symbol status overseas as he can't speak any other languages, despite previously living in Berlin.

"I lived there about a year ago. I can say, 'F**k my granny', but that's about it. 'F**k meine oma'. I can order sparkling water too."

Shears recently confessed that he saw some "crazy s**t" during his time in Germany.
