Nick Lachey says he never understood ex-wife Jessica Simpson's thought processes, according to Teen Hollywood.

The singer, who split from Simpson two months ago, said: "Women argue in ways that aren't rational to men," blaming these thought processes for the breakdown of their marriage.

Lachey added that he had got into trouble previously for buying clothes a size too big for Simpson.
