The Australian comedian and radio personality, whose wife Georgie gave birth to their first son Wolfe about a year ago, said that he realised his priorities had to change when his baby was rushed to hospital with a gastro infection during a trip to Italy last year.
Watts told The Australian Women's Weekly magazine: "Wolfe was quite sick and it hit me for the first time that my job and career are so much less important to me than my son. I guess I always knew it, but suddenly it became blindingly obvious."
He also revealed that since becoming a father, he goes to bed very early so that he can wake up at 3.30am for his morning shift on Nova radio.
Watts said: "Being in bed before a 1-year-old is pretty sad, [but] during the day I do lots of nappy changes, walks and feeds. I just really hope, when he grows up, he'll like football!"
