Dancing With The Stars presenter and former Neighbours actor MacPherson, who works at Channel Seven with Williams, split from PR consultant Townley earlier this year after a three-year relationship.
A source told The Daily Telegraph that Williams and Townley were spotted last weekend in Byron Bay looking "loved-up".
Townley later said that she is "just friends" with the TV star, while Williams added: "I am single."
Williams split from long-term girlfriend Kylie Speer last month.
