Jolie's father wants to heal rift

Angelina Jolie's estranged father has asked the star to let him back into her life.

Jon Voight, who starred in Midnight Cowboys, has not spoken to his daughter for five years.

"Now she's announced she is pregnant with Brad Pitt's child, I'd love to be included in this exciting moment," Voight revealed, adding that he was "very happy" for the pair.

Last month, the actor announced that he approved of his daughter's relationship, explaining, "I like the look of Brad. I've got a good feeling about him."
