Keira Knightley: 'Love can be difficult'

Keira Knightley has reportedly said that it can be hard to fall in love because of "high" expectations.

The actress, who is dating actor Rupert Friend, explained that despite this she believes in love "deeply".

She told OK: "It's difficult to be in love because your expectations are so high.

"But I believe in love and romance very deeply. I think that as you learn more about yourself, you also learn to be more caring and vulnerable to the man you love."

Knightley added that she also believes looks are less important than personality and does not like to encourage shallowness.

When asked how she feels when she is called beautiful, she replied: "It's not the worst thing that can happen to you. But you want people to look beyond the surface and see that there's more to you than that."
