Michael Lohan: 'Lindsay's mum was violent'

Michael Lohan has said that his former wife Dina was violent while their daughter Lindsay was growing up.

Speaking to TMZ, the movie star's father claimed that a 4-year-old Lindsay witnessed Dina smashing a phone across her grandmother's face. The alleged incident left her grandmother requiring six stitches.

Michael also suggested that a teenage Lindsay saw Dina knock herself out while trying to attack him.

Michael made the claims after Lindsay reportedly told family members that her father's erratic and violent behaviour was the source of the problems that have landed her in jail and in rehab.
