Russell Simmons slams Rihanna gossip

Russell Simmons has reportedly threatened to fire a blogger for allegedly writing an inaccurate article about Rihanna.

The Def Jam founder, who also owns the Global Grind website, took to Twitter to slam a story written by SandraSays with the title "Rihanna Walks OUT On Matt Kemp".

After the article, which suggested that the 'Only Girl (In The World)' singer had left the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball player, appeared on the website, Russell angrily tweeted an admonishment to his followers.

Russell wrote: "Leave globalgrind.com staff alone 1minute and they report dirt on rhianna that's not what we do be creative but don't sell untrue dirt (sic).

"Somebody who works there change that unsubstantiated sh.. About rhianna."

He continued: "We don't print dirt. If its sad and true we will tell the truth but we don't create dirt !!!!!!!!!!"

Later, Russell added: "It gets worse its same headline as mediatakeout somebodies gettin fired.

"Globalgrind has celebrity news not dirty gossip!!"

The article in question was later removed by Global Grind.
