The 'Careless Whisper' singer, who left jail earlier this week after serving half of an eight-week sentence for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis, said that he wants to get his life "back on track".
The Sun quotes Michael as saying: "I want to beat my drug addiction and lead a normal life. I don't want to end up back in prison. It's a very horrible place to be.
"You're not considered a person when you're inside, you're just a number and that freaked me out. I have done wrong and paid for this stupid crime and I want to get my life back on track."
Michael's partner Kenny Goss dismissed rumours of the singer already being in rehab as "nonsense".
