Rossdale 'more like friend than dad to Lowe'

Gavin Rossdale has commented that he is more like a friend than a parent to his daughter Daisy Lowe.

The Bush frontman told Details magazine that he takes an active role in parenting his children with wife Gwen Stefani, but prefers a less authoritative stance with the 21-year-old model.

"With the boys it's traditional; I'm all they know and I'm with them all the time," he said. "With Daisy, I don't know her in that context."

Rossdale admitted that he didn't have much of a role in determining the person that Lowe has become because he didn't begin to get to know her until 2004.

He explained: 'I love my connection with her, but I don't have any say in who she is. With the boys it's my job to correct them and shape them. With Daisy, I just have to be respectful. I suppose it's more like a friendship."

Earlier this week, the rocker confirmed that he once had a brief fling with male popstar Marilyn.
